Young Photographers Alliance
Hello all new and old followers. I already started this post but tumblr decided to freak out on me….bummer.
Ok soo to explain (again) My friend Rachel told me about this group Young Photographers Alliance a global charity to help us lost and penniless photographers find out way.

Moving on, basically they hold competitions where selected individuals can take part in a 2 month mentoring group led by a professional photographer and editor. They have a brief that you follow and work on during that time and then choose four appropraite photographs at the end.
So the deadline was the following day so I quickly uploaded some of my best work (all nudes-so much for variety) and made up an idea for the theme ‘home’. Off it went by around midnight.
It was while working long days as an extra for the God help the Girl film and getting home after 12 at night that I got the email saying I had been selected as one of 8 participants for the Glasgow YPA group. To say I was nervous is a major understatement. I’m terrible nervous in groups and after ‘spying’ on the other group members I only got myself into a right panic. The other group members are so very talented! I’m trying to ignore that fact though and as people keep saying ‘you got in for a reason’. (low self esteem needs to take a holiday)
So I will make a new folder on the right with some images throughout the project. Indoor shoots are not my comfort zone and without money for lights i’m really pushing myself. I miss the days of hasselblad for sure!
So let me know what you all think and I’ll keep posting.

I found this older picture of my friends Jocelyn and Euan. Theres so many things wrong with this photograph not to mention the lack of Euan’s head but I still like it.
